OPENING RECEPTION!

I can't believe it! Its almost time for the opening reception! All the curators have been working so hard to complete the exhibition. It has been a lot of work, but ultimately fulfilling and educational. I have learned so much about the curatorial process and just how much goes into designing an exhibition. What's even better is that while we have learned about the curatorial process we now get to share with the visitors about the curatorial process! One of our main objectives was to provide an educational experience. Thats what's so great about this project. Not only are we sharing with you our experience, but we are also helping the viewers understand the curatorial process as well as showcasing some of our favorite pieces from the colleges collection. So really we are breaking down a lot of the barriers associated with professional exhibitions. We are striving to provide an educational experience that creates a visible curator and a visible collection.

Research Research Research!!

So far it's been really interesting researching about the art pieces I have selected for the exhibition! However, some of the artists such as Herbert Kallem and Noa Attia are very obscure and its been difficult finding out information. So far i've really had to put on my Sluth hat and think of creative ways to find out information.

Any new ways i can track down info on my artists?
